Punx4Change is led by people rooted in punk, hardcore, independent music, DIY organizing, and direct community action. The goal is not to make punk look charitable. The goal is to make the scene’s existing care, labor, and resourcefulness more useful.
WHY WE EXIST
PUNK HAS ALWAYS KNOWN HOW TO BUILD WITHOUT PERMISSION.
The same skills that put on a show in a room nobody believed in— finding a venue, building a bill, moving equipment, feeding a touring band, printing flyers, and getting people through the door—can also organize supplies, meals, funding, and volunteer labor.
Punx4Change exists to turn that capacity into repeatable, hands-on community work. We feed people, move supplies, support recovery, and refuse to turn anyone’s hardship into advertising.

ONE MUSIC VIDEO IDEA BECAME A FEEDING.
The first Owens Avenue action grew from an idea connected to Terror Attack’s song “In the Ghetto.” Around 25 people from bands, businesses, and community groups brought food, water, socks, and hygiene packs and helped a few hundred neighbors. That day became the beginning of Punks Feed the Homeless.

People are neighbors and collaborators—not fundraising material.

Credit never matters more than the outcome or the people involved.

We share the numbers we can support, correct mistakes, and answer questions.
Inclusion without tokenism
People belong in the work, in decisions, and in leadership—not just in photographs.
Collaboration over territorialism
Bands, venues, organizers, businesses, and service groups can move more together.
Safety and consent
Accessibility, photo permission, personal boundaries, and responsible reporting are part of the work.
Long-term commitment
One good day matters. Coming back matters more.
COMMUNITY STANDARDS
NO ONE GETS A PASS FOR BEING “PART OF THE SCENE.”
Punx4Change event and volunteer spaces oppose racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, harassment, predatory behavior, violence, exploitation, and retaliation against people who raise safety concerns.
Accessibility, consent, photo permission, and dignity-centered outreach are expected. A dedicated reporting route is available through the contact page; reports should be reviewed by people without a conflict of interest and documented responsibly.

Punx4Change is governed by a five-member working board. Current officers and their public responsibilities are listed on the home page. Formation and tax information will be posted only when it is verified and ready for public use; until then, please do not treat a contribution as tax-deductible.
